OK. So, we've learned about what makes a basic webpage.

The next thing to learn is how to organise our information better.

Your next challenge is to create a webpage that's all about you. It will include pictures and video if we can find it!

OK everyone!

A new challenge this week. We are going to be learning to use a new code: HTML.

HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-Up Language. It's the language that basic web pages are created with.

If you click on this link - you can have a look at the presentation I showed you today.

If you follow the tab at the top of the page called HTML - you will find lots of information about HTML.

If you go to Khan Academy - there is a course there for you to follow too.

Remember: start off small and then grow your ideas. Learn how it works and then begin to add to your skills.

Interactive Story Task

Today is the day that this needs to be finished.

Make sure your story is complete. Remember: I'm interested in you being able to make the story interactive as opposed to you writing a brilliant story.

Make sure the piece of work looks good too.

Assessment Task - Interactive Stories

Well, hello!

Happy New Year to you all!

To celebrate the new year... I have an assessment task for you.

I want you to use Powerpoint to create an interactive story - a story that the reader can decide what happens in the story they are reading. This will be achieved by giving the reader choices.

The story and its structure will need planning. you can use the computers for this or your rough books - I don't mind.

You will have 3 computer sessions to complete the task.

Javascript at Khan Academy

Hello All!

Today's lesson is the beginning of a journey using something called Javascript.

We are going to use Khan Academy to help us learn how to use the Javascript language to draw shapes and move them around.


First of all, you need to log-in to Khan Academy (use your Google account).

Then you need to follow the instructions below to join the class I've set up for you:

The code you need to type in will be given to you in the class.

Then, work through the class carefully... I will be able to track your progress through my 'dashboard'!

You have all been given a Google Account!! Wahey!

You will receive a slip of paper with an email address (user name) and a password.

You can use this account to log-in to other accounts too! So you only need 1 user name and password. That's very useful.

Today's lesson is all about understanding how this works and how to behave responsibly when using the account.
